Final Rules Released for the 2026 WFFA Cup!
1 August 2026
We are excited to share the official and final rules for the 2026 WFFA Cup.
A tremendous amount of work has gone into ensuring this document is as clear, comprehensive, and unambiguous as possible. Our goal is simple: to create the fairest and safest possible environment for everyone on and off the pitch.
Thank you to every member, official, and player who contributed their time and insights to help refine these regulations!
Key Additions to Note
Along with the main rules, please review the two important appendices included in the document:
-
Appendix 1: Player Code of Conduct
All players registering for the tournament are bound by this common-sense set of behavioral guidelines. It ensures respect, fair play, and high sportsmanship throughout the event.
-
Appendix 2: Eyewear & Glasses Policy
Following discussions with the Referees Committee, the rule regarding safety glasses has been clarified. The responsibility for ensuring eyewear is safe for play now rests directly on the individual player, rather than placing the burden of assessment on the match referees.
What to Do Next
We strongly encourage all state and territory associations, club leaders, team officials, referees, and players to download, distribute, and thoroughly review this document.
With two months to go, taking the time now to read and digest the full rules will ensure everyone arrives fully prepared for a fantastic, competitive, and safe tournament.
