Headline: Walking Football, Friendship, and Sunshine: A Stellar Round 3!

What a glorious day for the Walking Football Friendship League! We took our games to the beautiful Eastern Lions SC grounds today, and the energy was absolutely electric.

It wasn’t just the perfect, sun-drenched weather that made the day special—though a massive thank you to the incredible crew at ELSC, Brian, Steve, and Sue, for putting on such a delicious BBQ! The true highlight was seeing 30 players gather for another fantastic round of friendly, competitive football.

With five teams taking to the pitch for four high-energy games across two hours, our legs are certainly feeling it tonight—but we loved every single minute!

Beyond the pitch, it has been such a privilege to connect with players from all across Melbourne. There is something truly special about the camaraderie we’re building: the shared laughs, the competitive spirit, and the post-game camaraderie over a well-earned drink.

This momentum is exactly what we need as we look ahead to the Victorian state team selections for the National Championships in NSW this October. We are building something special here, one match at a time.
